Susan participated in Under the Stars of New Mexico to support the Friends of the Bosque Redondo Memorial at Fort Sumner State Memorial which tells the story of the "Long Walk"-a journey of over 450 miles that was responsible for the extermination of 3,000 Navajo and Mescalero Apache from 1863-1868.
Susan and Elke Briuer taught a workshop, An Introduction to Acrylic Methods and Materials, at the Mississippi Arts Center on May 7, 2011.
